Privacy Policy
The short version
Everything stays on your iPhone. Recenter has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party SDKs. We never see, collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. There is nothing to breach on our end, because nothing ever leaves your device.
What the app processes, and where it lives
| Data | What it's for | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| AirPods head-motion data | Real-time coaching during an exercise session (voice and haptic cues) | Processed live on your iPhone and discarded; not stored, not transmitted |
| Session records (exercise type, sets/reps, duration, date) | Your history and adherence view | Stored only in the app's private storage on your iPhone |
| Optional symptom diary entries (dizziness before/after, nausea, imbalance, settling time) | Your private session diary | Stored only in the app's private storage on your iPhone |
| Exercise choices, safety acknowledgements, and safety flags | Remember whether an exercise was self-selected or clinician-recommended, schedule reminders, and create optional reports | Stored only in the app's private storage on your iPhone |
| Settings and preferences (voice/haptic toggles, reminder times) | App behavior | Stored only on your iPhone |
| Reminders | Optional exercise reminders | Scheduled as local notifications by iOS on your device; no server involved |
| PDF/CSV exports | Files you explicitly create to share | Generated temporarily on your iPhone and shared only when you choose a destination |
Head-motion access uses Apple's Motion & Fitness permission. You can revoke it anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness; the app will simply be unable to coach until re-enabled.
What we do not do
- No account, sign-in, or registration.
- No transmission of any data off the device — the app makes no network calls with your data.
- No analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- No sale or sharing of data with anyone, for any purpose.
- No HealthKit integration — Recenter does not read from or write to Apple Health.
- No use of your data for advertising, profiling, or AI/model training.
Recenter's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."
Your health data and your control
Session logs and dizziness scores are health-related information. Because they exist only on your device, you control them completely:
- Delete Recenter data: More → Privacy → Clear all Recenter data permanently deletes logged sessions, exercise choices, saved plans, and safety acknowledgements.
- Export history: History → Export creates a temporary local PDF or CSV for the iOS share sheet.
- Delete everything: Uninstalling the app removes all app data.
- Backups: Your data is included in your own iCloud/local device backups per your iOS backup settings. That is Apple's backup of your device under your Apple account; the developer has no access to it.
About this website
Everything above describes the Recenter iOS app, which contains no analytics of any kind. This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views in aggregate. It is cookieless, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal identifiers; we see totals like "how many people visited," never who you are.
Children
Recenter is intended for adults who explicitly choose a vestibular exercise, either independently or following a clinician's recommendation. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly process data from children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app changes any of the above (for example, an optional cloud-sync feature), this policy will be updated first and the change will be clearly disclosed in the app and in the App Store notes before it takes effect. The current policy will always be available at this page.
